DIMENSIONS CHART FOR PLUMBING FITTINGS
Explanatory table of diameter conversions from mm to inch concerning threads and tappings.
For industrial decoration we will retain the outer diameter here. Example for a dimension (20x27) 3/4" for a steel pipe, the outer diameter of the pipe is 27mm or 2.7cm in diameter for 3/4 inch.
- 1/2" = (15/21) = 21mm or 2.1cm in diameter
- 3/4" = (20/27) = 27mm or 2.7cm in diameter
- 1" = (26/34) = 34mm or 3.4cm in diameter
- 1"1/4 = (33/42) = 42mm or 4.2cm in diameter
Please note: The lengths indicated concerning the pipes include the thread, between 8 and 22mm of thread fits into the female threaded part depending on the diameter:
- 1/2" about 8 to 12 mm
- 3/4" about 10 to 14mm
- 1" about 12 to 17mm
- 1"1/4 about 15 to 22mm
